From Boobs to Booty: The Evolution of Beauty”

Unlock Your Best Shape Yet with Bioplasty and Linnea Safe

Are you one of the many women who, for decades, has based her physical attractiveness on the exaltation of breast volume? Back in the day, we didn’t have many resources to enhance our figures, and the importance of balancing our anatomies both in the front and the back was not yet fully understood.

However, times have changed, and we now know that emphasizing the “front end” with its equally important counterpart in the rear completes the lines of the female body that emphasize the waist and possess volume and projection in the gluteal area, achieving curvaceous figures that are highly attractive.

In the past, breast augmentation was achieved using saline-filled prosthetics, and among the first pioneering women in experiments to bring greater attention to the buttocks, surgeons used hard silicone elastomer implants – literal pieces of rubber material that could be custom-ordered from the manufacturer – which achieved only partial results that were poor and aesthetically unappealing, as these hard implants were very noticeable and tended to “fall” as they were inserted subcutaneously.

Nevertheless, this was the beginning of the new female figures that would cause a true revolution never before dreamed of. In the 90s, Brazilian company Silimed and other French companies like Eurosilicone began offering anatomically shaped implant models that could truly be called prostheses. These implants consisted of a silicone elastomer shell filled with cohesive silicone gel that posed no danger of rupturing in case of accidents, as the cohesive silicone gel did not spill into the tissues but remained contained within the implant. These cohesive gel implants, unlike the hard elastomer implants, were very visually and tactilely pleasing for both breasts and buttocks.

However, while these cohesive gel prostheses had enormous advantages over hard elastomer implants, they still weren’t the perfect solution for enhancing buttocks. On one hand, they left the areas near the hips unattended, and on the other, only small implants can be used because the anatomical structure of the gluteal muscles doesn’t allow larger and highly projecting implants as the muscles do not enable the surgeon to make a pocket that covers the entire implant.

It was in Brazil where the specialty of aesthetic medicine called Bioplasty emerged, using a biocompatible dermal filler based on PMMA microspheres with a diameter of 40 microns. (To put it in perspective, a human hair has a diameter of about 100 microns.) This dermal filler, when used correctly, can achieve natural and long-lasting results that enhance the appearance of the buttocks without the need for surgery.

At our medical practice, we specialize in treating cases of people who already have buttock implants, and with our technique, we can enhance the appearance of the buttocks by volumizing them, boosting their projection, and finally addressing the areas that the implants have overlooked. This leads to a significant enhancement of the contour of the gluteal area. One of the best brands of biocompatible dermal fillers we use is Linnea Safe, which has been approved by the Brazilian drug agency, similar to the FDA in the United States.
